The Really Big Bee Copper Hair Fork

Bees are cool, so very cool. They make tasty honey and pollinate our food and our flowers. They have a fascinating social structure and build honeycombs. 

The Really Big Bee is a big copper bee on a honeycomb patterned copper hive.

This is the new addition to my bee-themed hair forks. It's a big bee. A Really Big Bee. And it's a great way to hold your hair in a secure bun while telling the world 'I love bees!' 

You are purchasing the hair fork shown in the photos.

This hair fork is made from copper sheet and copper wire. 

The design portion of the hair fork is about 1-3/4 inches wide and 1-1/2 inches high. The useable portion of the forks is just over 4-1/2 inches with ends that are filed at an angle and then rounded smooth. The forks are about an inch apart.

The copper is not treated, so you can either let it develop a beautiful copper patina, or you can keep it bright by cleaning it with ketchup and then rinsing with soap and water.

A hair fork, also called chignon pin or french hair pin, is used to secure a hair bun, french twist, or other twisted updo hairstyles.
