What Makes This Piece Special?

The fascinating beauty of the octopus is captured in this distinctive sterling silver hair fork. Richly detailed, you can see the suckers on it's tentacles. The fork has stamped details that resemble suckers, too. Finally, there's a splendid opal that sparkles greens and reds. The piece is deeply oxidized to bring out all of the details.

The Technical Details

The metal pieces and the heavy wire fork are sterling silver. The octopus is sterling silver that is die struck in my studio. The gemstone is a 5mm opal cabochon.

The hair fork is just shy of 5 inches long, with a usable length of 4 inches. The forks are 1 inch apart. The ends are filed at an angle and then rounded smooth.
